THE SOMALI DAGGER / SYNOPSIS

The “Somali Dagger” is a fantasy novel based on African myths and legends.
Among the heroes of the novel are powerful voodoo sorcerers, cruel leopard people,
wild inhabitants of the African jungle, brave and resourceful teenagers.
The action takes place nowadays. The main characters, childhood friends Lisa and Vlad,
are trying to find out the reason for the extraordinary events that began to take place
in Lisa's house after her father returned from pirate captivity. The girl's father,
a sea captain, brought an ancient dagger from Somalia. According to legend,
it belonged to the African god Ngai. Lisa associates frightening paranormal phenomena
with the appearance of a dagger in the house.
One day, the sorceress Eyo informs the teenagers that the dagger is cursed and carries mortal danger.
At first, it contributes to luck and enrichment, but then it becomes the cause of the inevitable death of its owner.
Only a person who voluntarily surrenders weapons to the legendary python Selwanga,
who lives in the African Great Lakes, can get rid of the curse.
For this, the sorceress sends Lisa and Vlad to the African continent.
The teenagers and their guardians, the sorceresses Eyo and Mambo,
face the ruthless head of the Leopard Society, the werewolf Tafari.
He does not believe in the curse. He convinced that by taking possession of the dagger,
he become omnipotent.
To deceive Tafari, sorceresses use their skill to transmigrate the souls of people into the bodies of other creatures.
In the end, the souls of Lisa and Vlad fall into the bodies of African teenagers Anais and Budd.
African teenagers are older and more experienced than the main characters of the novel. Each of them has their own difficult life story.
Possessing a new look and new life experience, Lisa and Vlad face the problems of survival in the wild,
with ruthless leopard people and their leader, witness death and betrayal, know love and hate, choose their future destiny.
