Chapter 4. The ghost does not retreat
|
Vlad took out the Somali dagger, put it on the palm of his left hand and slowly began to take the blade out of its scabbard.
As soon as the dagger was taken out, the features of a human face began to appear on the blade,
polished to a mirror shine, which gradually became like an African ritual mask.
Frightened, the boy dropped his weapon, and the dagger plunged into the wooden floor.
When falling, a sharp blade cut Vlad's palm, and a couple of drops of blood fell near the place where
the dagger stuck. Before the eyes of the dumbfounded children, the drops began to move towards the blade. The dagger seemed to draw them in,
glowing with every drop drawn, until the parquet floor at the place where the dagger fell began to smoke.
